World Health Day April 7, 2018—Theme—“Health for all”
Like every year World Health Day is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and innovative ideas by both Lucknow and Gurgaon team of HOPE Initiative.
World Health Day awareness, KV School, Dwarka
A total of 320 students participated in the event. The students were shown a movie on hygiene. There was an interactive session of fun facts conducted with the students wherein students were shown a PPT on the various body parts such as lungs, teeth, eyes, ears etc and were asked about the Do’s and Don’ts required in taking care of the same.
Theme : Stress Management at Action Balaji Nursing Institute
A session was conducted with 90 nursing students and their staffs onStress management at Action Balaji Nursing College by Ms Nilya Dutt, Counseling Psychologist working with Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences at Fortis healthcare. This was also a part of World Health Day Programme.
An Inter School Event
An awareness event was organised at SURAJ group of schools Gurgaon Sector 75 where 8 schools participated with a total of 200 students. The event involved various fun activities such as fancy dress/ role play where students dressed up as characters contributing towards health in our society such as social workers, potters, housewife etc.
There was a Nukkad Natak performed by Free Pathshala and A- one school which was enjoyed thoroughly by the students. Lastly, a fun fact session was held with the students wherein students were shown the different body parts such as Lungs, Teeth, Kidneys etc through a powerpoint presentation and students from each participating school were invited to come on stage and mention the various ways in which one needs to take care of their body parts.
